Grand jury to consider capital murder charges in deaths of woman, couple Times Record News Sunday, October 12, 2008 BOWIE (Special) — A Montague County grand jury will consider capital murder charges against Wallace Wayne Bowman Jr. in the deaths of a Bowie couple and a Scotland woman when it meets today. District Attorney Jack McGaughey has compiled material connected to a killing spree that occurred in late August. Bowman, 30, is accused of capital murder in the kidnapping and killing of Mindy Daffern of Scotland and with the murders Karen and James Frances of Bowie. The killings occurred over the course of two days beginning Aug. 15 when the Bowie couple was killed at their home on Applegate Road. The house was set afire, and firefighters later found the bodies.
