Who has gone on Taglit-Birthright Israel trips?
A. Over 120,000 young adults from all over the world have been to Israel on a Taglit-birthright Israel trip. Participants have come from 51 countries, including the United States, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Uruguay, South Africa, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Germany, England, the Former Soviet Union, India, New Zealand and Australia, among others. They come from all Jewish religious backgrounds and degrees of travel experience. All return from Israel with a new understanding and appreciation for the people of Israel and the country. Also, this past year approximately 25 young college students from the Richmond area people went on a birthright Israel trip that was coordinated through the JCFR’s P2K Community Shaliach Ran Michaelis.
