Who has the Best Disneyland Vacation Packages?

One thing I have noticed about vacation packages at Disneyland: Unlike the “value menu” at fast food places, you don’t get a discount for buying a package. You do get extra perks that the rest of the public does not have access to. So, if your primary goal is to try and save as much munny as possible (sorry, a little Pooh humor there), packages generally don’t help. You would need to have an agent or someone local to help guide you away from the flea-traps. Fortunately, I live in the area and know most of the hotels. You didn’t mention if you have kids or not, but I find it most handy to stay in a hotel on Harbor Blvd, across the street from the Disneyland entrance. This is very handy for coming back to the room in the afternoon for a rest. My favorite hotels in this area are the HoJo (Howard Johnson: www.hojoanaheim.com), Fairfield Inn, and Candy Cane Inn.
