Who is/are the legal parents of a surrogate child when it is born?
Recent, positive changes in the South Africa Surrogacy laws now accept that the genetic parents and not the surrogate mother, are the legal parents of the child/ children born. This eliminates the need for parents to launch adoption proceedings once the child is born. Do you work with international clients? Yes we do. How much contact can we have with our chosen surrogate mother? When you complete your profile you tell us how much contact you want to have before, during and after the pregnancy. We will match you with a surrogate mother who wants the same contact as you do and these details will be agreed and detailed in the surrogacy agreement. What are my responsibilities as a Surrogate? Each surrogacy agreement and contract is different, and will be assessed and treated accordingly. Your most basic responsibilities will be to complete all the application forms truthfully. You will be required to arrive at appointments on time, as scheduled, and you will be expected to take your medic
