An SR&ED claim can be filed by virtually any entity conducting eligible work within Canada. Canadian controlled private or public corporations, foreign corporations, sole proprietorships, partnerships and other entities who are required to complete a T1 or T2 tax filing are eligible to claim SR&ED. Your organization’s corporate and ownership structure may however affect the percentage of your return.
