Group 137 meets on the third Tuesday of each month except for July/Aug/Dec at 7PM in the Parish Hall of St. Mark’s Church on Byron Street in Notl. The public is always welcome. Notices of these meetings are generally printed in the Niagara Advance the previous Saturday. More details can be obtained by calling Martha Cisneros at 905-468-0481. Generally the meetings begin with the guest speaker or a film and are followed by the business meeting. Non-members need not stay beyond the refreshment break although they are welcome to remain. Speakers often bring their own experiences in refugee work or in working/living in other countries where there are human rights abuses. Every speaker opens a window on issues of interest to the audience. During the year Group 137 celebrates Canada Day by setting up a table in Simcoe Park distributing information, signing petitions, and selling AI merchandise. In December, coordinated with the local Santa Clause Parade, Group 137 offers refreshments, cards
