Who is Norma McCorvey?

She’s a woman who conveniently forgot what it meant to be young, poor and pregnant. She’s a woman who conveniently forgot what it meant to feel scared. Scared by the thought that you yourself are just a child, or that you can’t support yourself, let alone another person, or that you are HIV-positive and can’t bear passing a terminal illness onto your child, or that you were raped and can’t imagine raising a child conceived in hate. How convenient it is for someone to stand up and declare pro-choice is wrong because the Bible says it is! As I said before, I am neither Christian nor Catholic, but I know many who are. And I know that if I asked 100 different people what the Bible says about a particular topic, I’d get close to 100 different interpretative answers. Yet, Norma McCorvey and the pro-life supporters accepted no alternative interpretations of the topic of abortion. I watched as Norma McCorvey stated “right” and “wrong” as if the world were simply black and white. I watched as s

Norma McCorvey is a name that a lot of people don’t recognize, even though McCorvey is famous, or perhaps infamous, depending on how you look at her situation. Most people know Norma McCorvey by a different name, or an alias, which is Jane Roe. Yes, she is the Jane Roe who was the plaintiff in the controversial abortion case, Roe v. Wade. In 1973, the United States Supreme Court answered a challenge against abortion law in Texas and determined that abortion was a constitutional right based on privacy. The case essentially legalized abortion in all 50 states, despite the fact that many call it “bad law” and believe that abortion should be a state’s rights issue. The pro-choice movement saw it as a victory, although Norma McCorvey never had an abortion. She was no longer pregnant by the time the case was heard, having given birth to a daughter who was given up for adoption. Interestingly enough, Norma McCorvey, the woman who once called Roe v. Wade, “my law,” has since had a change of he

I bet you don’t think you know her. But you do. Ever hear of Roe V. Wade? Norma is the woman used to legalize abortion in 1973. I say used because she was. You see, Norma McCorvey never had an abortion. In fact, after she conceded to be used for the court case which won her lawyers fame and LOTS of money, she was excluded from all proceedings. Norma found herself pregnant and on the streets in 1969. Her seeking of abortion was denied, so she hired a lawyer. Trouble was, no one had sympathy for her- not enough to make the national case of it, so she lied. She and her lawyers concocted a scheme that she would garner support because she could say she was raped. Roe V. Wade was a lie. Based upon a lie. Twisted and used to give an illegal business great monetary value by making it legal. You can read Norma’s story in her book WON BY LOVE, or look her up on line. DR. BERNARD NATHANSON Who is this? Dr. Nathanson is none other than the founder of NARAL (National Abortion Rights Action League).

She is the woman in the photo above. That picture was taken as she addressed the Sen. Sam Brownback crowd in the huge tent that Kansas Senator Brownback had set up at the Aug. 11, 2007 Iowa Straw Poll in Ames, Iowa. Norma McCorvey endorsed Rep. Ron Paul today. She was the plaintiff in the Roe v. Wade abortion decision by the U.S. Supreme Court that struck down State abortion laws. She was kept anonymous with the name of “Jane Roe”. Later in her life she became a pro-life advocate. In this photo she is endorsing Sam Brownback, who left the race some months ago. Her endorsement of Ron Paul today is monumental. She didn’t endorse Mike Huckabee or Mitt Romney. She endorse the man that she salutes as having been a pro-life Congressman for his entire career, Ron Paul. P.S. Sam Brownback had excellent barbequed beef just outside this tent. Huckabee had a dinky set-up, but he had great watermelon for us. This is a big one. Watch the media send it to the Memory Hole.
