Who is responsible for the NEPA Documentation?
The Navy, under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), is required to complete the appropriate level of NEPA documentation on every ship donation as part of the donation decision-making process. The NEPA documentation is site specific for each viable application. The Navy completes the appropriate NEPA documentation using information provided in the applicant’s Environmental Plan.
