Who is ZHU Ling?
ZHU Ling, is formally named ZHU Ling LING. Everyone is used to call her ZHU LING. The Zhu’s raised two daughters with the first one bearing the father’s surname while the second one after the mother’s. A Beijing native born in 1973, ZHU Ling majored in physical chemistry and instrument analysis in dept of Chemistry, Tsinghua University. Once an active Tsinghua Student Chinese Orchestra member, she not only won the second prize of solo group among the 1994 National college students artistic performance contest but also was a level II professional swimmer of Beijing. In both 1994 winter (about December) and 1995 spring (about March), ZHU Ling was at least twice poisoned with lethal dosage of Thallium compound; the second poisoning put her into a long deep comma and almost vegetated her. May 1995, she was saved after final correct diagnosis. However prolonged misdiagnosis and mistreatments caused ling severe physical damages and Hepatitis C infection through blood transfusion.
