Who maintains the traffic signs, traffic signals, and pavement markings on our city streets?

0

Public Works Traffic Control Division is responsible for the installation and maintenance of traffic signs and signals as well as highway pavement markings. This division sweeps, flushes, and mows right-of-ways on city streets in addition to picking up litter, leaves and brush. Many of the streets that run throughout the city are in fact state highways or routes. In those instances the State of Tennessee is the responsible party.
