AT&T and TI. AT&T licensed the technology from Hewlet Packard, the original inventors of VG. AT&T makes repeater (RMAC) and adapter (MAC) chips. TI makes the excellent Thunderlan device. The Thunderlan chip is a bus-mastering MAC that supports BOTH VG and FastEthernet! Motorola has also announced that they will make VG-Mac chips and VG-RMac chips. This technology is also licensed from Hewlet Packard.
