The ARA is managed and enforced by the Ministry of Natural Resources. The inspector under that Ministry will ensure compliance with the Act, Regulations and site plans. The mandate of the Act is to ensure that progressive and final rehabilitation occurs. The Act provides a process to guarantee rehabilitation should the operator fail.
