Who needs Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certification?

Any operation taking ownership of FSC-certified products and making, changing, trading, re-labeling or repackaging them, such as a primary manufacturer, secondary manufacturer, printer, merchant, distributor, broker or retailer, needs to be FSC-certified in order to make any FSC claims and to enable its customers to make an FSC product and or make an FSC claim about these products. To get FSC CoC certified, organizations must, at a minimum, conform to the FSC Chain of Custody Standard (FSC-STD-40-004 Version 2). For more information, see SmartWood Certification and Verification.
