Who Uses Steroids and Why?
Steroid therapy was first introduced as a Testosterone booster to help men that have low testosterone levels. They lacked proper overall development and functioning of sexual organs (this condition is medically termed hypogonadism.) In addition to hypogonadism treatment, the steroids were helpful in treating certain other disorders like impotence in men, delay in puberty, and diseases due to HIV infections as well. It was found that animals can benefit from steroids in the sense that they can develop better muscles and bones. The biggest group of people who abuse steroids are sport persons.
