There were two men who held the post of Secretary of Commerce during President Clinton’s first term in office. First there was Ronal Harmon Brown who held the office from the 22nd of January 1993 to the 3rd of April 1996. He was the first African American to have occupied this post. The next person to occupy this post was Michael Kantor. He occupied the office from the 12 th of April 1996 to the 21st of January 1997. He was born on the 7th of August 1939 and is referred to as a lawyer and politician. He is a Board Member in various organizations including Monsanto, CB Richard Ellis Group, Legal Services Corporation, Korea First Bank, Centre of Law in Public Interest, Legal Services Corporation and many more. His first wife died in a plane crash in the year 1978 following which he remarried Heidi Schulman (a broadcast journalist) in 1982.
