Who will fund transitions for soldiers in MTOE units?
Both the AC and RC programmed to fund the transitions over the FY02-07 Program Objective Memorandum (POM). In addition to funding IET, the US Army Medical Command (USAMEDCOM) is providing resources to AC Major Army Commands (MACOM’s) for transition training. Currently USAMEDCOM is providing student and instructor texts and workbooks, instructor slides and test managers. They’re paying the certification fees for NREMT-B, PHTLS or BTLS, and are providing the more high cost medical equipment to approved training sites.
