Who will provide protection for floor coverings when the Contractor requires access to the interior of my unit?
The contractor is required to provide protection to existing floor coverings from dirt or paint within each unit required for access to restoration work area necessary from the interior. The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) recommends a non-staining building material paper. CRI warns against plastic sheeting over carpet installations because it may present a slip & fall hazard.
