Who Would Steal A California Lotto Ticket Machine?
Just who would nab a California Lotto machine? According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Department, that would be three guys from Bakersfield late at night. Sheriff’s officials said on July 8 at approximately 4:22 a.m., deputies responded to the Super Mercado La Mina located at 2800 River Boulevard in Bakersfield for a burglary investigation. Upon arrival, deputies discovered unknown subjects had forced entry into the store and had taken a California Lottery ticket machine. Around a half an hour later at 4:55 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers stopped a black truck for vehicle code violations, officials said. The occupants were identified as Philip Perry Sr., 51; Scott Thompson, 41; and James Provo II, 25. Based on items found in the truck (Sheriff’s officials didn’t say what was found) all three men were detained as possible suspects in the burglary.
