Tiger, no question. Tigers have been documented killing much larger snakes than boa constrictors, such as the Burmese python and reticulated python. The size of boa constrictors is often exaggerated – the largest one on record was 14 feet long, and in general a 10-foot specimen is unusually large. If a boa constrictor coiled around a tiger’s neck, it’s possible it could throttle it as they are very strong, but it wouldn’t be given the chance. Though they strike like lightning, the moment the snake seized hold of the tiger it would attack it with its teeth and claws and could literally tear the snake to pieces. Tigers have three-to-four-inch long canine teeth and powerful jaws – one bite could sever the boa’s head from its body, or bite its body clean in two.
