Whose statue appears in Boston Commons -woman who was burned at the stake there?

The statue is of Mary Dyer, who was executed on the Commons in 1660. She was a Quaker at a time when being a Quaker was considered inappropriate. She was banned from Boston, on pain of death if she returned. She did return, to plead for the life of a Quaker friend who had been sentenced to death for continuing to preach in the city. She wasn’t burned at the stake though. Rather, she was hanged. http://www.geocities.com/trctl11/femhang… http://www.rootsweb.com/~nwa/dyer.
