There are several different reasons why you may not be able to open attachments: • Usually this happens when you do not have the appropriate software application on your PC to open the file. For example, if the attached file is an Excel file, you need Excel on your PC to open it. • In this case you will need to reply to the sender asking him/her to resend the attachment as well as informing you as to how the file was created. If you know the file is a Word document, let the author know which word processing program you are using. He/she can probably easily translate and send the attachment back to you. If the file is a graphic and it is either a jpg or gif, your browser should be able to open it. If you do have the appropriate software installed on your pc, then you may want to check your browser settings • Open Internet Explorer • From the menu, select Tools • Select Internet Options • Click on the Security tab • Click on Custom Level • Scroll down about 1/3 of the way and under Autom
