Why are 16 km radios and 29 km radios more expensive than 6.4 km radios?

The 16km radios include an antenna (dish) to allow for service past the 6.4km radius of the radio on its own. The extra cost for the 16km radio is for the dish. The 29km radios are a completely different radio (Trango 5830SU) and also have a dish. The added cost is for the dish and the different radio.
