Hey, believe it or not, it is actually a complete myth that carbs are bad for weight loss. When people began to talk about carbs being bad they meant things like cake and donuts. This was then misinterpreted to mean all carbohydrate in general. In fact, healthy complex carbs such as wholemeal bread and brown rice are a vital part of a balanced diet and are not in the slightest bit bad for weight loss. Sadly though, the myth continues, and you will no doubt get many answers spouting about carbs turning to fat. The reality is that any excess calories are stored as fat, carbs or not. Carbs are no more fattening than any other food. I will watch with interest as to how many of the responses to this reflect people still falling for the myth.
