Why are hurricanes named after woman?

They aren’t always named after women. Google it and check it out…lots of male names out there that hurricanes have been named after.

i think that they alternate between boys and girls names–like if the a hurricane has a girls name then the b hurricane will have a boys name maybe a lot of the bad ones happen to be named after women….
