Why are most emerging infectious diseases coming from developing countries?
There are several reasons. The majority of the world’s population lives in developing countries, so more human diseases are likely to emerge from those regions. As these countries rapidly urbanize, there tend to be very high densities of people in compact areas, which encourages the spread of disease.
