Why are most emo boys bisexual?
There seems to be an assumption here. Are they really bisexual or is it a fashion statement? True, most emo boys will readily kiss another guy in public. Such kisses often seem very passionate, often involving open mouth kissing, biting, and one boy stradling the lap of another. But the fact that it is such a public display is telling. At parties, an emo boy will often arrive with a girl, neck with a boy, then leave with a girl. One miaaing aspect to consider is the attitude of emo girls who often find the sight of emo boys kissing each other to be “hot” (Check out their blogs for more). Since the emo world view is based on expressing ones emotions and rejecting societial norms, a boy who is open to kissing another boy becomes more desirable than one who isn’t. Certainly some emo boys may be bisexual, but for most the public display of male to male kissing is more of a courtship display, to prove themselves worthy of the attention of the opposite gender.
