Why are some email subscriptions available only in HTML?
Historically, we have kept the “master” versions of our books in plaintext. But we’re changing that to support HTML, so that things like bold, italics, and lists look the way they should. In most cases we’re also generating a plaintext version of a book, for the minority of people using email systems that don’t support HTML. But in some cases, the book is so heavily formatted that we feel a plaintext version does not do it service. So, if your email system can’t handle HTML, and you don’t want to get an RSS subscription, you probably don’t want to subscribe to such a book.
