Followers of Japanese comics and animation- Manga and Anime – decided they enjoy dressing up as their favorite characters. It’s probably one of the most unique things to do in Tokyo – the Japanese pop culture. Street fashion in Tokyo comes from Cosplay – wearing of costumes. Cosplay comes from the words costume + play. Japanese teenage culture, also called Harajuku fashion, was created in Tokyo, and evolved into an international trend. You may have heard of it in one of its different names – Japanese Youth Culture, Japanese teenage culture and Tokyo Culture. Some say it’s the attempt of Japanese youth to turn their back to traditional customs and strict social standards. Life in Japanese culture is not easy.
