Both published and popular practitioners find them vogue, yet vague, which accentuates the mystique of poor IAQ. The scientific researcher who popularized the word “bioaerosol” is Dr. Harriet Burge currently of the Harvard School of Public Health. We first worked with her at an IAQ seminar in Maine in 1986. Her position was and is that bioaerosols account for a larger portion of the IAQ issue than was commonly thought. The fact that she was both right then and now is why Steril-Aire in business today!
