Why can interpreting a word from God be so complicated?
Keep in mind that there are three components to most prophecies. a. Revelation The divine dream, vision, sign or word. b. Interpretation The meaning of the dream, vision or sign. c. Application The correct action or response to the prophecy. If any one of these three parts is mishandled, a degree of inaccuracy is introduced. 3. Can the timing of a prophetic word be a difficult thing for a prophet to discern accurately? Time, the fourth dimension, is one variable that can often be mishandled. A prophetic minister may assume that an event is about to occur in someones life, when it has already happened. On the other hand, the prophetic minister may think that an event has already occurred in someones life, but will happen in the future. C.
