Why can’t Identity Finder open an email message in my additional shared mailbox?
When scanning your email, Identity Finder may find sensitive data in email messages or attachments in Outlook mailboxes other than your own. When you try to open the email file in Identity Finder by double clicking on it, or try to shred the email, sometimes it does not work. Microsoft allows sharing of Outlook mailboxes but with different privileges that do not allow direct action in Identity Finder. If your Identity Finder search finds email in your additional mailbox, open the file directly in Outlook and remove the sensitive data or delete the file. If you are not able to change or remove the file or if you are unsure whether you should, please contact your supervisor or the Information Security Office for guidance.
