Why did Asian and African nations under the British Empire?
I wonder about this, too. Why should people fight for independence of their countries, and won their independence , but then go to live in the country with that they fought. Also, it is not only problem of UK, but also all countries in Europe such that had colonies. Of course, some of those people immigrated to Europe, because they helped the occupied armies, and they feared that people who fought for independence could killed them for their help of occupied armies. That was the reason why they immigrated to Europe from their native countries, but all of those people immigrated to Europe in 50s and 60s of the 20th century. The new reasons of massive immigration from former colonies are weak economics, civil wars, diseases, and many other problems. In fact, those countries failed with promising better future for own citizens without occupants from Europe.
