Stone Stockton Phillips (born December 2, 1954) was the co-anchor of Dateline NBC, a newsmagazine TV show, from the show’s start until June 2007, when NBC did not renew his contract. He has also worked as a substitute anchor for NBC Nightly News and Today and as a substitute moderator on Meet the Press. Phillips was born in Texas City, Texas to Victor (Monsanto chemical engineer) and Grace (teacher) Phillips and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Parkway West High School, where he was very involved and highly regarded by his teachers.
