Why did the replace the sprint guy in the Alltel commericals?
“If you’re a fan of the Alltel commercials starring Chad, you’ve probably noticed that Mentor native Michael Busch has been replaced by another actor. What gives? Alltel wanted the actors to sign a contract to appear in the commercials through 2008. Busch balked. “I felt I’d maxed myself out in that particular commercial,” he said. He hasn’t appeared in the spots since the first of the year. The popular commercials feature Alltel’s spokesperson “Chad” and four dorky salesmen from rival cell-phone companies. Busch had played the Sprint salesman since 2006. He’s auditioning for acting roles and doing live comedy. Busch is a little surprised that people wonder why he’s not in the commercials.
