Why did they give Lara that British accent, it sounds terrible and nothing like how the real English speak (sent in by Suzanne Kitchen)?

Well, why not have a British star in a game. Besides that, Core Design is a British company, so they had may as well use British accents. I agree with you though about the accent, it was much better in TR1, but remember that Lara is the daughter of a Lord, so she was brought up with nobility.
