Why do AKC registered dogs have such weird names?
. . . maybe the AKC owners don’t think they are weird . . . but then again. I am an AKC owner and while I don’t think my dogs’ names are weird, they are certainly different. The dogs I named myself are: Princess Mia Belleoftheball (they only give you a certain ammount of characters to use to name your dog, thus the running-on of words), call name, Mia Lil Miss Winky The House Elf, call name, Winky The dogs I got pre-named: Westgate Smokin Jett, call name, Mikey Westgate Just Dandy, call name, Meiko Westgate Takealookatme, call name, Fancy Westgate Littlebitabling, call name, Jewel Lickety Split, call name, Darla Now for what explanation I can offer. The dogs I named myself: Princess Mia Belloftheball . . . she’s a Miniature Pinscher . . . was because my daughters liked “The Princess Diaries” (girl’s name is Mia) and Bell of the ball just seemed to fit . . . or rather not fit because the letters had to be squashed together . . .
