Why do breastfeeding moms put down bottle feeding moms?
I agree that breastfeeding mothers have a superiority complex around here on Y!A. I am a mother who attempted breastfeeding to the best of my ability for 2 months but could not produce enough milk for my daughter because of a surgery I had earlier in life. My daughter’s weight would not go up and I had to start giving her high calorie formula. As someone who is unable to breastfeed successfully, I am also hurt by these “rude” comments. However, we can’t let it get to us – you’re right – bottle-fed babies can be just as successful in life! It has a lot to do with how you raise your child too.
