Because they want to know why creationists deny such evidence as presented in their questions. They can’t ask that in the science section because creationism is not science.

A lot of questions about science in R&S are posed by Creationists trying (and failing) to trip up atheists and other logically-minded folks. When the logical folks ask a science question it’s usually to see if you have any idea what it is you deny.

I have yet to see a “complex scientific question” on R&S. The few microbiologists that I know of, don’t ask detailed, complex questions (in my observation.
