Why do Internet Explorer version 7 and EMB not mix well?
EMB’s FSM principle is to block files it doesn’t know. IE 7’s principle is to write a file and then they check until it has been written successfully (which is a very unusual programming style to put it mildly. Calling that ‘stupid programming’ would be more to the point.). As that in some cases never will happen when EMB blocks a file the machine deadlocks and you have to reboot it to establish a normal working condition again. (Unfortunately, the Internet Explorer can NOT be killed by the task manager or any other popular programs.) Has this also something to do with the dwindling popularity of this once unrivalled browser? We have heard of people who installed IE 7 but reverted to IE 6 when they experienced problems. We don’t think these users were using EMB. Note: When IE 7 is uninstalled the result is IE 6.
