Why do married people have affairs?
Hi, Married couples have affairs for various reasons but it comes down to the simple fact that something in the marriage isn’t working for them and because they feel they have too much to lose – through divorce and children – they feel they will just have their cake and eat it for a bit as they feel this will spare everyone’s feelings. It actually makes it worse and causes more heartache. Married couples thinking of having an affair need to communicate with their spouse and if really unhappy then maybe counselling can help – failing that they should seperate first before seeing anyone else.
