Why do Pegoretti make there own dropouts?
One of the things we are often asked is why are the drop outs so visible and imposing. Such a component is designed to work with the chain stays. We think that the diameter of the chain stays is very important in the area around the join with the drop out. The enlargement of the diameter of this area and the consequences relative to the inertia movement of this section heavily influences the capacity of power transfer through the rear triangle.
