Why do some prepared hydroponic mixes have insufficient Magnesium in them?

0

Plants require a surprisingly large amount of Magnesium, as can be seen in the Starting Formulation Solution #1. Magnesium is right at the centre of the chlorophyll molecule. Chlorophyll occurs in all green leaves, and in a hydroponic garden there are a lot of green leaves. As for why some mixes have insufficient Magnesium … probably ignorance of the plant’s needs.
