Why do some states ban medical marijuana when others don ?
Medical marijuana seems to be a popular topic these days. With California marijuana laws, the marijuana is prescribed by licensed physicians who conduct thorough physical examinations and want to see proof that you already have a prescription for medication that can be replaced by using marijuana. For example, if you suffer from anxiety or hypertension, you may have a prescription for something like Xanax. If so, the physician may or may not approve your 1-year card for medical marijuana. It seems as though these doctors are really interested in helping patients substitute marijuana for prescription drugs. Why aren’t other states following suit? I may be wrong, but I believe in some states like South Carolina, possession of marijuana is a felony. This makes no sense.
