Why do some women get pregnant knowing they don have the financial resources to support a child?
First of all… it takes two people to create a pregancy and there is a man involved in this scenario as well. Some loving couples want to have famillies and are willing to make personal sacrifices to do so. They may not have two cars, a lavish house and other perks – but they believe that the gift of a child is more important than money. Some people do not intend to get pregnant and despite taking precautions they find themselves in that situation. Some people think with their hearts rather than their pocket books. Some people simply don’t think and give in to the passion of the moment without regard to consequences. There are many reasons for why and how people get pregnant.
The desire for human companionship and touch is so stronly built within each of us. Some people focus on that more in their present lives than anything eles. They really aren’t thinking about becoming pregnant, it’s the same syndrome as what many men suffer from “horneyness”. In the heat of passion you loose all ability to think, all you can do is feel. Then “Ooops” up jumped the baby. To me such individuals take valuable resources that people with disabilities need. If the pregnant female, her male partner, and the biological families of the child all put an effort to support the child, public resources should never come into play. So, if the case is that bad, then it means that people have sex to make their miserable lives feel beter, instant gratification. In order to change this cultural behavior society needs to let people suffer for their choices and not bail them out.
