Why do some Yves Veggie Cuisine products say Vegan on the front but have “May contain eggs” at the end of the ingredients?

0

Yves Veggie Cuisine produces both Vegan products with no animal ingredients and Vegetarian products that may include egg or dairy ingredients. “May contain eggs” is a precautionary allergen statement since there may be trace amount of eggs from cross contamination, but the product itself doesn’t contain egg in the ingredients so it is a vegan product. All equipment is thoroughly cleaned between production vegetarian and vegan productions, however we choose to exercise caution for those consumers who are extremely allergic.
