Why do teachers like apples?

0

It’s come to be associated with education – but teachers don’t all like apples. Many teacher’s associations use it as a logo – but the original probably comes from the biblical account of the apple in the Garden of Eden (it was plucked from the tree of wisdom) In fact, it probably wasn’t an apple, because apples didn’t grow in that part of the world, but when the Bible came to Europe, the pomegranate or whatever type of tree it actually was, didn’t grow in Europe so they picked an equivalent, just to retain the symbolism.
