Why do we require make ready and initial start-up be preformed by a qualified mechanic?
Buyers that have never owned nor worked on atvs or motorcycles report 99.9% of all problems, due to mis-assembly, loose bolts, loose wire connections, carburetor floats sticking or not gapped properly, unfamiliar with safety features such as the brake having to be set in order for the starter to engage. Many things can happen during shipment due to the bouncing and jostling. Qualified motorcycle mechanics can correctly assemble, quickly identify any problems and take care of them as well as make all necessary adjustments. When initial start-up and after break-in adjustments arent made it causes abnormal wear and can create more and sometimes severe problems later, reducing engine life.
