Why do you believe that Lumus products will be mainstream consumer products?
Because device manufacturers and cellular carriers have been looking at personal displays for over a decade and receiving the same input – too heavy, too bulky, too geeky, too cheap-looking, too uncomfortable, too immersive. That’s why nothing has ever taken off. Mobile entertainment and computing are killer applications, offering amazing benefits in “place shifting” and “time shifting”; however, there has been no viable solution to date that addresses the small screen dilemma – until now. These same manufacturers and carriers tell us that Lumus is the solution. They don’t ask us what Lumus’ advantage is — they tell us!
