Families today spend very little time together. Unfortunately, the church has contributed to this problem. During the week there are often so many activities that families are kept from spending hardly an evening or two together. Then on sundays families are further separated by age-segregated programs. It is not surprising that so many families have the problems they do when even in church they do not spend time together. One way to overcome this problem is for the whole family to worship, learn, and fellowship together. This has actually been the approach that the church has followed for most of its history. It is only when the church began to model state-supported schools that it began to divide families by ages. It may be argued that with this segregation of families within the church came a whole host of problems.
