Why does CLL solicit volunteers?
Chesterfield Little League is a volunteer organization and cannot be successful without our volunteers. We ask that all parents become involved in your child’s playing experience. Volunteering opportunities range from becoming a Team Parent, Manager or Coach to simple tasks such as working in the Concession stand for a few hours, helping with field maintenance, or providing snacks to your child’s team. When everyone becomes involved, the League has more opportunities to run smoothly and this allows your family’s experience with Little League to be a great one. Why does CLL have fundraisers? Due to continuing budget cuts at the county level, we have suffered a decrease in the services provided to the League from the county. CLL’s costs for maintenance of the fields and facilities has increased each year. Instead of passing these increases on to our families, the League has opted to not raise registration fees and in doing so, trying to keep participation in the League affordable for all
